All of our athletics facilities where the Warriors play and train are on the main campus in Ina. From our baseball & softball fields, and Waugh Gymnasium, to the Rec's hitting cages and golf simulator — we have modern equipment to max out your training regiment.
Located on the south end of the RLC campus, The Recreational Center features indoor setups for basketball, tennis, volleyball, golf, baseball and softball. There's a large fitness center with state-of-the-art universal equipment, treadmills, ellipticals, stepping machines and weights. A lab assistant is on duty 100 percent of the time to help you along. Just outside The Rec is an Olympic-configuration running track.
Of course The Rec is free to use by RLC athletes. But did you know membership is also free for students and employees at RLC?
To use the Rec, simply register for the Aerobic Super-Circuit Fitness Center class (PYED 1160) in the Admissions Office. After a quick orientation session, you will be ready to get to work. RLC students can elect to take the class for a letter grade for transferability purposes. High school students must have written permission
from their principal in order to enroll.
The facility is fully operational when college is in session and is open at reduced hours when school is out. Questions? Call us at 618-437-5321, Ext. 1279.
When can I register?
You may register any time during the year. You can begin utilizing the centers as soon as you complete your orientation session.
How many times can I enroll for credit?
You may enroll 16 times for college transfer credit.
What if I’ve passed the course 16 times?
In that event, you will register for PYED 1301, a noncredit section, and you can continue using the centers.
Open to the public, the Rend Lake College Aquatics Center includes a six-lane, 25-yard lap pool, a 10-foot diameter whirlpool and a 10 x 20-foot hydrotherapy pool.
