INA, Ill. (January 6, 2026) — RLC Athletics Department is proud to recognize sophomore Elijah Edosa (Scarborough, ON) as the January Student Athlete of the Month. The honor highlights Edosa's exceptional performance in basketball and his commitment to his academics.
"Elijah has been a force for us for two years now, but this has probably been his most dominant month on the court since wearing a Warrior jersey," said Head Coach Tim Wills. "There are not a lot of players who can do what he does on a daily basis on the court and we are proud of his accomplishments so far."
Edosa is currently top 3 in Region 24 in scoring, rebounding, and blocks, but this past month has been even more astounding. In the month of December he averaged a whopping 21.5 PPG, on 60.5% FG, to go along with 11.5 RPG, 3.5 APG, and 2.2 BPG; all of which are pacing the Warriors during that stretch. Edosa has put together quite the season and career for the 8-6 Warrior basketball team, and we hope to see it continue into conference play during the first season in the MWAC. Elijah is also an outstanding student who achieved another 3.0+ semester in the classroom and has been tutoring in the Learning Resource Center on campus throughout the school year.
"Elijah is a great ambassador for our program and we are happy to see him be awarded his 2nd Student Athlete of the Month recognition in his tenure here," said Wills.
The Student Athlete of the Month is given each month to recognize our athletes on and off the field. The student's picture will be on display at the entrance of the RLC REC for all of those who come to workout or practice.
