INA, Ill. (December 8, 2025) — RLC Athletics Department is proud to recognize freshman Electra Lovely-Tolbert (Louisville, Ky.) as the December Student Athlete of the Month. The honor highlights Lovely-Tolbert's exceptional performance in basketball and her commitment to her academics.
"Electra has established herself as a consistent player at this level," said Head Coach Mike Helton. "She has provided consistent defense, passing and scoring in the early season action. Electra has shot the 3 point shot at a very good level and has been our assist leader as well."
Through the initial seven games of the 2025-26 season, Lovely-Tolbert has not only established herself as a starter but as a central figure in the team's success, logging an average of 34.4 minutes per contest. Her scoring has been a highlight, accounting for 109 total points—an average of 15.6 points per game (PPG).
"Being named Student Athlete of the month means a lot to me," said Lovely-Tolbert. "It reminds me that hard work really does pay off and this achievement motivates me to keep pushing."
The Student Athlete of the Month is given each month to recognize our athletes on and off the field. The student's picture will be on display at the entrance of the RLC REC for all of those who come to workout or practice.
