INA, Ill. (November 14, 2025) — RLC Athletics Department is proud to recognize sophomore Lauren Lowery (Waltonville) as the November Student Athlete of the Month. The honor highlights Lowery's exceptional performance in golf and her commitment to her academics.
In her freshman year, Lowery was key in qualifying the Lady Warriors for the National Tournament. This year, she has taken on the role of Lady Warriors Golf team leader, and she is setting a great example for the incoming freshman by exhibiting outstanding work ethic.
"Lauren’s average from last year to this year has really improved," said Head Coach James Gray. "She put in the work over the summer and she’s seeing the results of that. She’s a great student and a good representative of the college who lifts up those around her with her attitude and work ethic. Lauren’s worked at a nursing home for years and that speaks volumes to her great character and compassion.”
The Student Athlete of the Month is given each month to recognize our athletes on and off the field. The student's picture will be on display at the entrance of the RLC REC for all of those who come to workout or practice.
Congratulations, Lauren!
